Simple Exchange 2003 Build

Install Windows 2003 server

Assign server name

Assign static IP address

Add to local domain if desired

Install IIS, FTP, Media server, NNTP, SMTP, ASP.NET, Windows Support Tools (in my case FTP and Media were needed for other projects)

Install BelArc Advisor (handy little utility but not needed for Exchange)

Install Exchange 2003 using the setup wizard
run DCDiag from command line
run NetDiag from command line
run ForestPrep
run DomainPrep
run Setup
name the organization

Install Windows 2003 server operating system updates

Sign into Active Directory and activate e-mail for previously existing AD users
